Tomball Independent School District

Crisis Communications Plan

For Staff, Parents and Guardians

All communications will come from the Tomball ISD Communications Department on behalf of the campus administrator. Communication may occur through a variety of methods, which can include the parent notification system (Blackboard), District Social Media channels, and the District Website.

If a threat is made verbally, online, or via social media toward a campus, immediate communication in the form of a templated message will be sent to all campus staff and parents of children at that campus. If needed, a detailed communication will be sent after the investigation is concluded.

We ask that Parents/Guardians refrain from traveling to the campus when an incident occurs and wait patiently for further information.

Communication updates will be provided during the incident, and when the All Clear is given.
