Finding Her Calling

After graduating from Tomball High School, she attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, earning a degree in Elementary Education. She later earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

Her passion for education started long before college.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I would play school with my friends and neighbors. I have always had a desire to help others and to educate.”

In college, that passion only grew as she discovered how much she enjoyed creating lessons and connecting with students.

“Making learning fun and engaging...I couldn't wait to take that on—for students to fall in love with lifelong learning.”

Now: Tomball ISD Educator

  • Current role: 2nd Grade Teacher at Lakewood Elementary
  • Tomball ISD experience: 23 years
  • Previous role: 1st Grade Teacher at Lakewood Elementary

She returned to Tomball ISD for her student teaching experience and was hired before she even completed student teaching!

Why Tomball?

For her, returning to Tomball ISD felt like coming home.

“The staff, parents, and students felt like home. Tomball district employees knew campus employees by name—you weren't just a ‘number.’”

That sense of connection has remained a defining part of her Tomball ISD experience.

“I felt and still feel that Tomball cares for all of its staff, regardless of role or position, and students.”

Beyond the Classroom

When she's not inspiring young learners, she enjoys theater and Broadway events, concerts, Jazzercise and traveling the world.

  • One word to describe Tomball ISD: Connected
  • Why? Because it captures the family, close-knit relationships and community that make Tomball special.
  • If she weren't an educator: She'd be a pediatrician!

Something Students Might Be Surprised to Learn

She's fascinated by history and the incredible variety of landscapes, cultures and stories our world has to offer.

“Our world is a vast learning opportunity, and knowledge is something I constantly seek. There is always something new to discover, understand, and appreciate. You are never finished learning.”
