Finding Her Calling
After graduating from Tomball High School, she attended Texas A&M University. But her calling to become an educator began long before college.
“I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was a kid. I love that every day is different and that I can help students believe that they can achieve any goal!”
Her passion for helping students grow and discover their potential ultimately brought her back to the District she knew so well.
Now: Tomball ISD Educator
Current role: 5th Grade Science & Social Studies Teacher at West Intermediate
Tomball ISD experience: 4 years
Education experience: 4 years
Previous role: Student Teacher and 5th Grade Science & Social Studies Teacher at Northpointe Intermediate
After completing her student teaching at Northpointe Intermediate, she continued her career in Tomball ISD and has now spent four years helping students learn, grow and reach for their goals.
Why Tomball?
For her, returning to Tomball ISD was an easy choice.
“I loved Tomball schools as a student and moved back home after college, so it was the perfect fit for me.”
Having experienced Tomball ISD as a student, she now gets to experience the district from the other side of the classroom—and help create those same positive experiences for today's students.
One word to describe Tomball ISD: Excellence
Beyond the Classroom
When she's not teaching, she enjoys reading and traveling.
If she weren't an educator, she could see herself as an event planner—or doing something that allows her to travel.
Something Students Might Be Surprised to Learn
She's not just a Tomball ISD teacher—she's a Tomball ISD kid!
“I went to Tomball schools as a kid and grew up 10 minutes around the corner from our school!”
From growing up just around the corner from Tomball ISD schools to teaching fifth graders in the district she once called home — this is what Student2Staff is all about!
