NEW UIL HEAT GUIDELINES

The MPAC provides a safe, indoor space for athletics, fine arts, and other District programs to practice, perform, and host programmatic competitions.

It also allows protection from extreme weather conditions based on UIL rules introduced in 2023. Wet Bulb Global Tempature (WBGT) estimates the heat stress of temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, solar radiation, sun angle, and cloud cover, whereas Heat Index only measures temperature and humidity.

During the 2024, Tomball ISD was affected by weather-related conditions for a total of 167 days.
