What will I see on my ballot?
The projects shown above will be listed as Proposition B. See the wording below as it will appear on the ballot.
Voters will be asked to vote FOR or AGAINST the issuance of $18 million in bonds for technology, and the related infrastructure, systems and equipment. The ballot will also state the imposition of a tax sufficient to pay the principal of, and interest on, the bonds. This refers to the District's I&S rate, and Tomball ISD can afford to pay for these bonds at the current rate.
THE ISSUANCE OF $18,000,000 SCHOOL BUILDING BONDS FOR THE ACQUISITION, IMPROVEMENT AND UPGRADING OF TECHNOLOGY, INCLUDING RELATED INFRASTRUCTURE, SYSTEMS, AND EQUIPMENT, AND THE LEVY AND IMPOSITION OF TAXES SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON THE BONDS AND THE COSTS OF ANY CREDIT AGREEMENTS. THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.
