Some educators don’t just teach - they inspire. For Kaitlyn Wishkoski, a proud graduate of Tomball High School (Class of 2005), that inspiration came years ago from one of her own teachers. Now, having returned to her hometown and serving students and families as an educator herself in Tomball ISD, Wishkoski is bringing her passion for education full circle.

As the current Assistant Principal at Creekside Forest Elementary, Wishkoski is dedicated to shaping the next generation of students, just as her former second grade teacher Mrs. Bradley from Decker Prairie Elementary, once shaped her.

“Mrs. Bradley had a unique ability to make her classroom feel like home,” she said. “She treated each of us like family, creating a warm and nurturing environment where we left feeling valued and supported. Her kindness, dedication, and genuine care left a lasting impression on me.”

Wishkoski was born and raised in Tomball, and a product of Tomball ISD schools, attending DPES, Beckendorf Intermediate, Tomball Junior High, and Tomball High School.

She was a proud member of the Cougar Pride Band, playing clarinet and serving in leadership roles, including Band President her senior year.

“One of the best experiences while attending Tomball ISD schools was the four years I spent in the Cougar Pride Band,” she reflected. “The leadership roles I served taught me invaluable organizational skills and how to effectively manage my time. Balancing rehearsals, performances, and academic responsibilities was challenging, but every minute spent with the band was worth it.”

In addition to serving on Band leadership roles, Wishkoski formed lasting friendships through her school experience.

“The dedication and hard work we put into our practices and performances paid off in the form of unforgettable experiences and achievements,” she said. “Beyond the music and the discipline, the band was a place where I formed amazing friendships. Many of the friendships have stood the test of time, and I continue to cherish and maintain them to this day.”

Following her time at Tomball High School, Wishkoski went on to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher, attending Texas A&M University, earning her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She furthered her education by earning her Master’s degree from Lamar University in Educational Administration.

Her educational journey as a classroom teacher began in August 2009 in Magnolia ISD where she taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade over several years.

“Ultimately, my journey into education was fueled by the desire to give back and to provide others with the same sense of family and home that Mrs. Bradley gave to me,” Wishkoski said. “It’s a privilege to have been able to carry forward her legacy and to inspire the next generation of learners.”

Following time in the classroom, Wishkoski transitioned into the role as a math specialist, a position she held in Magnolia ISD for four years.

“The role of a math specialist allowed me to focus on enhancing math instruction and supporting both students and teachers in achieving academic success and collaborating with district and campus administrators,” she said.

In August 2020, Wishkoski returned home and joined Tomball ISD as a math specialist at Wildwood Elementary. There, she served WES for over two years in that role. Her career advancement continued when she became an Assistant Principal in November 2022, serving both Creekside Forest Elementary and Grand Oaks Elementary.

Through this leadership advancement, Wishkoski gained valuable experience, furthering her commitment to educational excellence.

“I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Creekside Forest Elementary,” she said.

Pursuing a campus administrator position was always an aspiration Wishkoski had.

“While working directly with students is incredibly rewarding, stepping into an administrative role allows me to extend my support to a broader community, including teachers and families,” she said.

As a campus Assistant Principal, Wishkoski is proud to contribute to the growth and development of the entire school community, making a lasting and meaningful impact.

“Being able to provide assistance and resources to educators helps them create a positive and effective learning environment,” said Wishkoski. “This, in turn, benefits students by enhancing their educational experience and fostering their growth and development. Ultimately, the most fulfilling part of my job is knowing that my efforts contribute to a supportive and inclusive community where teachers, students, and families can thrive.”

And throughout her leadership journey, Wishkoski considers her growth fueled by a commitment to continuously improve.

“I’ve learned the importance of being flexible and open-minded, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to leadership,” she notes. “By observing how different leaders handle challenges, motivate their teams, and foster a positive work environment, I’ve been able to incorporate these strategies into my own practice. I regularly seek feedback from colleagues and team members, using their insights to refine my approach and better meet the needs of those I lead. This ongoing process of learning and adaptation has helped me become a more effective and empathetic leader.”

Deep and cherished ties to Tomball make Wishkoski’s journey even more meaningful. Spanning multiple generations, her dad and older brother laid the foundation and Wishkoski followed, setting a strong foundation of connection and pride in Tomball local schools.

The family legacy lives on as her nieces and nephew currently attend TIS and THS.

“It is heartwarming to see them walk the same halls and participate in the same traditions that have been a part of our family for so long,” she said.

Adding to the rich history is her mom - Diane Wishkoski, who is currently a dedicated member of the Tomball ISD family, having served since 1993 in various capacities, and is currently a purchasing specialist in the finance department.

For Wishkoski, returning to Tomball back in 2020 was a heartfelt decision.

“By returning to Tomball ISD, I have had the opportunity to give back to the district that has given me so much,” she said. “I am committed to supporting the next generation of students, just as I was supported during my time here.”

Wishkoski’s educational  journey is a testament to the lasting impact of great educators and the power of giving back to the community that helped her grow.

“My journey in education has been deeply fulfilling. Whether it’s through fostering a positive learning environment, collaborating with dedicated educators, or engaging with families, I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of those in our community.”
