Crystal Romero-Mueller has served public education in the Houston area since 1995. Her field of experience includes general education instruction, special education instruction serving students with visual impairments as well as the general education and resource settings, instructional specialist, assistant principal, principal, leadership development and adult education and professional learning.
Crystal is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and Sam Houston State University. She received additional leadership development as a cohort member of the Rice University Education Entrepreneurship Program class of 2013 and the Harvard Graduate School of Education Summer Institute in the Art of Leadership in 2015. Her education certifications include Generalist EC-4, Generalist 4-8, Special Education EC-12, English as a Second Language, Gifted and Talented, Principal and Superintendent. She additionally serves the educational community as a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Mu Phi chapter in Cypress, Texas.
During her tenure in Tomball I.S.D., she has served as the principal of Tomball Intermediate School (2013-2017) and the Director of Special Programs. Crystal is currently supporting district programming for Gifted and Talented Education, Advanced Academics, English as a Second Language, and Elementary Social Studies curriculum and instruction.
