Today - 2nd Grade Number Talks - at Creekview!

I am so excited to get into some classes with students to do some number talk lessons. Please let me know if I can come on out to see your team! Here is my google presentation for today.

I met with Cherie Warren an top notch Math Specialist from Willow Creek Elementary today!  Her students are going for the gold with First in Math!  Cherie is a great resource for her campus! #teamtomball!
Amber Davis shared this idea for formative assessment.  Thanks, Amber!  She has her students record responses on sticky notes to formatively assess her students.  Each student then sticks them on this modified calendar and she can head off any misconceptions by reviewing their thinking.  #teamtomball!
Thank you, Rosehill 2nd Grade Team! This team let me sit in their planning for a bit!  Great plans for place value, lots of hands on work with making collections of tens and hundreds, and then with base ten blocks, before pictorial models! Loving it!
I got to see these to wonder powered ladies at Creekview on day 1. Looking  forward to seeing you again soon.
Another view! We got our hands on math tools this summer!  This pic was from our August Pre-K and K Hands on Math for the first 9 weeks. Our 1st and 2nd grade session was so full I just didn't get to take any pictures!
