Welcome Cougar Families,
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. Our district is growing, and we are all excited about our roles in the district this year. I will be serving Tomball High School and Tomball Star Academy as their campus Educational Diagnostician, and I will also be serving all the intermediate and secondary campuses in the district as their Bilingual/ESL Educational Diagnostician for evaluations under IDEA.
To share a little about me, I am a proud resident of Tomball and have been for over 11 years. My husband, Cedric, and I have three children (a son and two daughters). Our son just started his senior year at Texas A&M; our oldest daughter is the mom of a beautiful and animated toddler who is the apple of our eye; and our youngest daughter is a sophomore and JV cheerleader at Tomball High School.
As far as my educational and work experience, I have a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Prairie View A&M University, a Master's of Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, and a Master's of Education in Curriculum & Instruction: Reading Education from Prairie View A&M University. I have experience in varying areas of special education and the intervention process from self-contained programs to inclusion programs and am an advocate of finding the right plan of services for each child we serve.
Properly identifying students with disabilities and assisting in developing the most appropriate Individualized Education Plan (IEP) based on their disability and individual needs is my passion. As a parent of children with varying special needs, I have seen the difference a productive team can do for a child's future and changing their path for the better. As an Educational Diagnostician, I have the honor and privilege to lead the teams that do that for your children.
