I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. However, when I had my children, I knew I needed to move to the Houston area to find better educational opportunities for them. I found those opportunities in Tomball ISD. I have one recent Tomball High School graduate (2018) and my daughter is a junior at Tomball High School. They have been in the district since kindergarten.
I am a very proud graduate of Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) and completed my graduate work in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis at Texas Tech. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and I have a license to practice Behavior Analysis in the state of Texas. It is my privilege to work with children and adults with disabilities along with their families and I have been doing so since 1992. I believe the family is a vital part of the team to ensure long-term student success.
In Tomball ISD, I have worked as a Structured Learning Lab teacher with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Behavior Coach. I am now a Program Specialist for the Adaptive Behavior and PASS programs, a Student Support Specialist for TES, TIS, DPES and Community Connections. I am also a Behavior Specialist for the District. I am very excited about working with an extremely talented and dynamic team of professionals who are like-minded and have strong beliefs about providing the very best services for all students.
