My roots in Tomball run deep and every opportunity has been a blessing. I graduated from Tomball High School in 1974 and began my teaching experience in Spring Branch ISD in 1977. I came to Tomball ISD in 1985 because I wanted to give back to the community which had served me so well and continued my teaching career at Tomball Elementary School. In 1990, I initiated a program in Tomball ISD called, "Parents as Teachers" and simultaneously served as a District Instructional Specialist. In 1994, I became an Assistant Principal at Lakewood Elementary and the next year was named principal of Lakewood. After 13 years, I opened Canyon Pointe Elementary. I now have the privilege of supporting all elementary campuses in Tomball ISD as Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools.
I received my B.S. in Education at Texas A&M University and earned my M.ED from Sam Houston State University. I furthered my education with a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
My husband, Mark, was also a Tomball High school graduate and we have two grown children who were Tomball High School graduates, Bryan and Stephanie. The legacy continues as I have two grandchildren currently attending Tomball schools.
