I am a proud 1987 graduate of Tomball High School. After graduating, I attended Sam Houston State University and received my Bachelors of Science in Education. While a student there, I discovered my love for teaching children to read. That love of teaching reading lead to my first position as a first and second grade teacher in Magnolia ISD. While teaching in Magnolia, I was able to earn my Masters in Education in Reading. Returning to Tomball in 1998, I became a 1st grade teacher at Tomball Elementary. In 2003, I was excited to be given an opportunity to be a 1st grade teacher at a brand new school, Rosehill Elementary. Following three years there, I moved into the role of Reading Specialist and started fostering a love for helping struggling readers. In 2008, I moved to Central Office as the Response to Intervention/Dyslexia Coach. Currently, I am Coordinator of Testing and Instructional Resources providing teachers training and support to help them better understand their students.
My husband, Jeff, and I live in the Tomball area and are proud to say that our twin daughters attend Tomball High School.
Tomball ISD is the BEST!
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.
