Welcome to my TISD webpage. I hope that you find the resources useful in enhancing your child's education. I have been working with Tomball ISD since August of 1988. As an occupational therapist, my primary interest has always been to help students access their educational experience regardless of the extent and nature of their challenges. My doctoral dissertation (1998) investigated how occupational therapists could support the adaptation process for students, teachers and parents as students entered into and progressed through public education in inclusive settings.
I have enjoyed working with Tomball ISD as a parent volunteer and in a professional capacity. My daughter is a 2003 alumni, beginning her education at Decker Prairie Elementary and progressing through Tomball High School. As a parent and professional I have had the privilege of supporting the arts, athletics, and academic teams and have seen many students with special needs be integrated in ways that best suited their strengths.
I admire the dedication and collaboration of our teachers, support staff and parents as they work together to achieve positive outcomes for the students. I hope that you will contact me with your questions and feedback related to the assistive technology services in the district so that we can continue to grow in excellence.

"Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible.... Excellence is believing in continuous improvement and never being satisfied with anything being less than it can be."
