Welcome to an amazing school year in TISD! I am honored to serve the students, families and staff of TISD as the Program Specialist for Intervention and Instruction and Student Support Specialist for our Woodlands campuses.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and History from Baylor University in 1995, my first Master’s Degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University in 2003 and a second Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Texas A&M University in 2010. My teaching career began in Temple ISD as a self –contained elementary school teacher in 1995. After relocating, I continued my career as an ESL/Bilingual Instructional Specialist and counselor in Aldine ISD for 10 years. I was recruited to join Spring ISD and coordinated their model RTI program. Fortunately, I joined the Tomball ISD family to open Oakcrest Intermediate.
I am blessed to work with our amazing Student Support Staff this year. I have a true passion for Special Education as both a parent of a special needs child and an educator. I believe wholeheartedly in the abilities of all students.
