How do I find out which campuses or departments have job openings?
All district job openings can be viewed by visiting our district website under Employment and clicking the link to apply. To be considered for a posted job, create an account and submit an online application for the position. Job postings are removed from the website once the position has been filled.
What happens after I submit my application?
Once an application is submitted, an automatic background check is conducted and an electronic reference form is sent to your references to complete. Applications are directed to the hiring manager for the position, who screens candidates and contacts selected individuals for interviews. Applicants should not call or visit district offices to request interviews.
Who should I use for my references?
Applicants must list a minimum of three references on their online application. Supervisors and co-workers who can provide feedback on your work performance are preferred. It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of your references' contact information. Updates to reference information can be made in your online profile. If you update your references' email addresses after your application is submitted, you must notify the Human Talent Department so that a second request can be sent to the correct email address.
How long will my online application remain active?
Applications remain active until the position applied for is filled. Once a job is filled and the posting is removed from the district website, you must reapply for other positions of interest to be considered.
The information I submitted on my online application has changed. How do I update it?
Applications previously submitted cannot be changed. However, information updated in your online profile will be reflected on all future applications. Reference information and attached documents can be updated in your online profile at any time and will be immediately visible.
I can't remember my log-in for my online account.
On the job listings page, under Menu, select the option "I forgot my Username or Password." Enter the email address you used to create your account, and you will receive an email with further instructions.
Will Tomball ISD sponsor me for an H-1B Visa?
No. At this time, the district is not sponsoring applicants for H-1B visas.
I am getting married after starting my job with Tomball ISD. Can I use my future married name on my new hire paperwork?
No. We are required by law to use the name that is on your Social Security card at the time your new hire paperwork is completed. Once you receive a Social Security card bearing your new name, you may bring the card to the Human Talent Department and complete a name change form to update your records.
I lost my original Social Security card. Can I bring a copy?
No. A Human Talent Department representative must see your original Social Security card. Copies cannot be accepted. Please visit https://secure.ssa.gov

Do I need my official transcripts?
Yes. For all positions requiring a degree, an official transcript is required from the college or university where you graduated indicating your degree(s) and when it was conferred/awarded. Your official transcript does not have to be in a sealed envelope, but it must be an original copy bearing the signature and seal of the college/university registrar.
How do I verify my years of previous experience as a school employee?
An original, official service record will be required from any accredited public or private school in Texas or out of state where an individual has previous experience. The employee is responsible for requesting and obtaining service records. Verification request forms are available on our district website under Departments>Human Talent>New Hires. Salary credit for experience earned will not be granted until the original service records and proof of accreditation have been received and verified. Adjusted compensation will be retroactive to your start date.
How often will I get paid?
Pay dates for all employees are on the 10th and 25th of each month. If those days fall on a weekend or holiday, employees will be paid on the last business day prior to the weekend or holiday. Paychecks are issued through direct deposit to your bank or savings institution.
