The Accelerated Program for Math and Science
The Accelerated Program prepares students for success in Advanced Placement (AP) courses in mathematics and science in high school.
Strong 6th grade Pre-AP students may choose to take an Algebra I entrance exam that would allow them to take Algebra I their 7th grade year. Students will not have received any instruction in 7th and 8th grade mathematics concepts during the 6th grade year.
- Students must make an 80% or better on the Algebra I placement exam, which covers standards from 7th and 8th grade mathematics.
Science courses continue with Pre-AP 7th and 8th grade.
