Dr. Jeff Bailey Named New Tomball Memorial High School Principal

TOMBALL - Tomball ISD is proud to announce Dr. Jeff Bailey as the new Principal of Tomball Memorial High School.

Having served over 20 years in education, Dr. Bailey joins TISD with an immense amount of campus and district administrative leadership experience.

“As a resident and parent in Tomball ISD I have had the opportunity to experience the amazing education the district provides our kids,” said Dr. Bailey. “When the opportunity to be the Principal at Tomball Memorial became a reality, I knew this was my opportunity to join Team Tomball and to serve students in the community where I live and continue the traditions and excellence that has become an expectation for our school and district.”

He most recently served as the Executive Director for Teaching and Learning in Klein ISD since 2017. He will bring this current experience leading and supporting principals to success to this new role as TMHS Principal.

Prior to that role, he led several KISD campuses, including Klein Forest High School and Ulrich Intermediate as Principal. Named the 2016 Klein ISD Secondary Principal of the Year, Dr. Bailey also led Ulrich Intermediate to a PLC Model Campus designation during his time there.

His campus leadership experience continues, having served as an Associate Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Klein Collins High School, and as Assistant Principal at both Klein Oak High School and Doerre Intermediate.

Dr. Bailey has also spent time as a classroom teacher, beginning his education career back in 1999 as an algebra teacher and coach. He devoted over 10 years as a teacher before pursuing a campus leadership position.

He is a 2018 Holdsworth Center District Leadership Program graduate and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, his Master’s Degree from Prairie View A&M University and his Doctorate from Texas A&M University, where he was named the Paul R. Hensarling Distinguished Student.

Dr. Bailey is a resident of Tomball ISD and has two children currently attending Northpointe Intermediate and Tomball Memorial High School.

What is it about education that you love so much?
“The reason I love education is because it provides an opportunity to help grow, encourage and support students to reach their full potential and have the tools necessary to achieve whatever path they choose to take after high school. The ability to make a difference in the life of a student and help set the foundation for future success is what makes education a unique and humbling profession that continues to make an impact on all students for a lifetime.”

What can the TMHS school community expect of you as their leader?
“I look forward to being a servant leader who is visible, accessible and focused on providing the highest quality educational experiences for students that prepares them for future success. This includes not only a focus on academics but also a focus on extracurricular activities and character education to produce well rounded students. I also look forward to being a leader that is engaged in the community  to ensure all stakeholders are working together to support our students.”
