TOMBALL – Tomball ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora has been elected to fill an open position, representing Texas, on the AASA Governing Board.
AASA, The School Superintendents Association, advocates for equitable access to high-quality public education for all kids and supports and develops school leaders. AASA members advance the goals of public education and champion children’s causes in their districts and nationwide. As school system leaders, AASA members set the pace for academic achievement. They help shape policy, oversee its implementation and represent school districts to the public at large.
Salazar-Zamora will serve on the Governing Board from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024.
As a Governing Board member, Salazar-Zamora will hold dual responsibilities: representing their home state on the national Board as well as report the work of the Board back to their home state affiliate.
