Tomball ISD Earns TXSmartSchools’ Top Rating

TOMBALL - Tomball ISD was once again recognized for its high academic achievement and cost-effective operations, earning its fourth five-star score in the last five years, announced by TXSmartSchools.org in its recently-published 2019 Smart Scores report.

The 2019 Smart Scores were released for 1,200 charters and independent school districts in the State of Texas. Only 29 (2.84%) ISD’s of 1,022 in the study earned a five-star score and Tomball ISD was among that prestigious list once again. This score is measured on the highest academic results with very low spending per pupil. 

Tomball ISD has a rich history of earning the state’s top rating, including six five-star scores in the last 10 years. Past results for Tomball ISD with the 0 to 5-star rating at half-star increments are as follows (year, score, academic results above other districts, and the spending per pupil):

2011: 5.0 star
2012: 5.0 star
2013: 4.5 star
2014: 4.5 star
