Principal Partners Overview
Tomball ISD Principal Partners are community leaders who participate in a project in TISD designed to
- Increase awareness and understanding among individuals in the private sector of the strengths and challenges of schools in Tomball ISD
- Demonstrate the private sector's commitment to ensuring a quality education for all students
- Strengthen communication between the schools and the communities they serve
Who Can Participate?
Parents, businesses, and civic leaders who wish to learn about the operations in our public schools through an experience as a Principal Partner in Tomball ISD. The Principal Partner will be able to share their expertise and reflections with the school staff.
How Does the Principal Partners Day Work?
On the day of the visit, the partner spends time with the principal, faculty, and students sharing ideas and learning about the school's day-to-day operations. The guest principal might teach a class, meet with the student council, attend student performances, read to students, shadow the principal, address a class assembly, or participate in other activities of choice.
At the end of the visit, all guest principals convene with the superintendent of schools and discuss their experiences and potential commitments, and plans for future involvement with their host school at a luncheon in their honor.
How is the Principal Partner Assigned?
They are matched with an elementary, intermediate, junior high, or high school based on the participant's areas of expertise and interests and the school's needs.
The deadline to apply is November 4, 2021.
