Election Information

To be eligible to run for the position of trustee of the Tomball Independent School District, the candidate must be

 

1. A United States citizen

2. Eighteen (18) years or older at the start date of the term of service

3. A registered voter in the territory elected from by the filing deadline.

4. A resident of the district for six (6) months before August 22, 2022 and

5. A resident of the state for twelve (12) months before August 22, 2022.

 

The candidate must retain these qualifications while in office. The interested person must file a request to have his/her name placed on the ballot with the Executive Assistant of the School Board no later than the seventy-eighth (78th) day prior to the election (August 22). These forms will be available on the Tomball ISD website. The completed applications can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Linda Stoll or Janice Tadlock at Tomball ISD, 310 S. Cherry St, Tomball, Texas 77375. No email or faxed applications will be accepted. Date to begin accepting filing applications is Monday, July 25, 2022.  Applications must be notarized and the Executive Assistant is a notary public.  The filing deadline is 5:00 PM, Monday, August 22, 2022.  Positions with four-year terms expiring are:

 

    Position No. 1    Four-year term (Full Term)    Presently held by Kathy Handler
    Position No. 2    Four-year term (Full Term)    Presently held by Michael Pratt
    Position No. 3    Four-year term (Full Term)    Presently held by John E. McStravick
    Position No. 4    Four-year term (Full Term)    Presently held by Mark Lewandowski

 

Persons must run for a specific position. Ballot position will be drawn on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 5:00 PM at the Tomball ISD Administration Building, Board Room, 310 S. Cherry Street, Tomball. If you are not present at the time of the drawing a ballot position will be drawn for you.
