Awards
Financial statements of Tomball ISD are annually submitted to both The Association of School Business Officials (ASBO), International and The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for review. These organizations encourage excellence in financial reporting by state and local governments, and enforce strict disclosure requirements on entities requesting review. Tomball ISD is committed to significantly higher standards in financial reporting and has received the following awards for financial statement presentation and disclosure. It should be noted that out of 1,022 school districts in Texas only 80 received the GFOA award and only 51 received the ASBO award.

Tomball ISD has also received a AA+ rating with Standard & Poor's and an Aa1 rating with Moody's. In Texas, only 21, or 2.04%, public school districts have received a AA+ rating with S&P out of 1,022 public districts and only 16, or 1.56%, have received an Aa1 with Moody's, which is equivalent to the S&P AA+.
Moody's Investors Service on September 28, 2020 made the following statement, "The Aa1 underlying rating reflects a large and growing tax base anchored by the strength of the Houston economy, above average resident income levels and solid financial performance that has resulted in healthy reserves."
