Get to Know: Tomball Memorial High School’s 2026 Valedictorian & Salutatorian

TOMBALL –  Tomball Memorial High School’s Valedictorian Aubrie Austin and Salutatorian Hailey Wilcox will lead the way during TMHS’ graduation ceremony. Let's get to know the two seniors.

What has been the best part about attending Tomball Memorial High School?
“The best part of attending Tomball Memorial High School has been the community and the opportunity to build connections with so many people throughout my time here. From freshman to senior year, I’ve met mentors, peers, and friends who have all become part of my story and helped shape who I am today.”

What are your plans after you graduate from Tomball Memorial High School?
“I plan to attend Texas A&M University and study chemical engineering.”

What will you miss the most about Tomball Memorial High School?
“What I’ll miss most about Tomball Memorial High School is the connections built through shared experiences, whether that was working hard together in class or being involved in activities. Those moments made high school meaningful and created friendships I’ll always value.”

What have you learned from your high school experience that you will take with you?
“One of the biggest things I’ve learned from my high school experience is to believe in myself and not underestimate what I’m capable of. I’ve realized that putting in effort and pushing through challenges is just as important as ability.”

Who would you like to thank?
“I would like to thank my parents for their constant support and guidance throughout my journey. I’m also incredibly grateful for my teachers, from Lakewood Elementary to Tomball Memorial, who have made a lasting impact on my life and will always hold a special place in my heart”

What has been the best part about attending Tomball Memorial High School?
“The opportunities at the school for engineering, sports, and clubs have opened up a lot of opportunities for me. I also really love the diverse community of amazing people I have met in my time here.” 

What are your plans after you graduate from Tomball Memorial High School?
“I will be attending the University of Notre Dame.”

What will you miss the most about Tomball Memorial High School?
“I will miss all of the friends I made and the welcoming environment created here. I have always felt supported, pushed to be my best, and loved here.”

What have you learned from your high school experience that you will take with you?
“I have learned many valuable skills like leadership, networking, and teamwork. This school has created an environment that makes it fun to learn, and I now seek out opportunities to learn new things, which I think has opened many doors for me.”

Who would you like to thank?
“Some people who have been pivotal in my High school journey have been Mrs. Bourgeois (engineering), my friends and teammates, my physical therapist Carol, and my parents. These people have always been there to support me and push me to be my best.”
