TOMBALL – Tomball Memorial High School’s Valedictorian Jessica Ho and Salutatorian Lauren Taylor will lead the way during TMHS’ graduation ceremony. Let's get to know the two seniors.

What has been the best part about attending Tomball Memorial High School?
“The best part about Tomball Memorial High School was the Wildcat school spirit and culture of friendly competition! In academic competitions, arts performances, and sports alike, we had great opportunities to achieve and to feel like we belong.”
What are your plans after you graduate from Tomball Memorial High School?
“After graduating, I plan to attend Johns Hopkins University to major in biomedical engineering, and I want to pursue a career in advancing assistive technology and devices.”
What will you miss the most about Tomball Memorial High School?
“I will definitely miss the community the most. From celebrating in a venue with all the people I grew up with, to simply walking in the hallways and seeing the same classmates for the past four years, I’ll truly cherish the sense of togetherness this school had.”
What have you learned from your high school experience that you will take with you?
“The lesson from high school that I’ll take with me is that you thrive best when you are yourself! Believing in myself and my capabilities is what gives me the confidence to succeed.”
Who would you like to thank?
“I would like to thank my mom and dad for encouraging me to do my best, my older siblings for being a source of reassurance and guidance, my teachers for their dedication to my growth, and my friends for their unconditional support.”

What has been the best part about attending Tomball Memorial High School?
“I loved that I didn’t have to choose between different things that interest me. I was able to stay on top of my core classes while being part of an incredible fine arts program and taking fun classes like track and engineering that helped me discover where my passions lie.”
What are your plans after you graduate from Tomball Memorial High School?
“After I graduate, I plan on attending Colorado State University to major in Wildlife Biology. My goal is to one day lead field research that helps us learn about and protect wild animals and the ecosystems they inhabit.”
What will you miss the most about Tomball Memorial High School?
“I’ll miss the connections I formed with my classmates and teachers. I’ll also miss performing at halftime during football games.”
What have you learned from your high school experience that you will take with you?
“I learned that it’s important to take advantage of all the opportunities I’m presented with and to not be afraid to make mistakes.”
Who would you like to thank?
“I wish I could thank all my teachers because they’ve shaped me in so many ways, but a couple of them really helped me grow and find my place. My band director, Mr. Easton, showed me what true leadership looks like and continues to inspire me everyday; and my freshman biology teacher, Coach Abendschein, who sparked my passion for biology, helping me discover the path I want to follow in life.”
