TOMBALL - Tomball Intermediate School Principal Dr. Kelly Marchiando has been recognized as the 2024-2025 Tomball ISD Secondary Principal of the Year, voted on by her peers.

Dr. Marchiando has dedicated 18 years to education, five years as a Principal in Tomball ISD, serving both Tomball Star Academy and TIS during that span.

Under Dr. Marchiando’s leadership, Tomball Intermediate has elevated its student growth and community engagement opportunities, all while remaining a PLC Model School, supporting a collaborative approach to teaching and learning. Dr. Marchiando also leads the continuation of the Tomball ISD Two-Way Dual Language program for grades fifth and sixth as the campus leader of TIS.

“Dr. Marchiando embodies the very essence of leadership,” said Dr. Mindy Munoz, TISD Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools. “She's a true visionary, constantly looking ahead and inspiring us all to reach for our full potential. But what truly sets her apart is her collaborative spirit and deep love for her staff, students, and entire school community. A lifelong learner herself, Dr. Marchiando is respected by her peers and a true value to all of Tomball ISD. This Principal of the Year award is a well-deserved recognition of her extraordinary dedication and impact.”
