TCES Principal Tara Bailey Named 2024-2025 Tomball ISD Elementary Principal of the Year

TOMBALL - Timber Creek Elementary Principal Tara Bailey has been recognized as the 2024-2025 Tomball ISD Elementary Principal of the Year, voted on by her peers.

Bailey has dedicated 24 years to education, 14 years as a Principal with three coming as a campus leader in Tomball ISD. 

Under Bailey’s leadership, Timber Creek Elementary has continued to excel as a Great Expectations Model School that values student growth and community engagement and as a PLC Model School which is a testament to the successful collaborative work being done by the TCES staff.

“We are so excited to name Mrs. Tara Bailey as our Elementary Principal of the Year,” said Dr. George Flores, TISD Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools. “Since coming to Timber Creek, Mrs. Bailey has prioritized fostering a strong campus culture to provide a great learning experience for all students. Mrs. Bailey builds strong relationships with her school community and holds a high standard of excellence to ensure Timber Creek remains a premier school in the state of Texas.”    

What are you most proud of as Principal? 
“As a principal, I take great pride in contributing to the success of our students and being part of a district that is fully dedicated to their needs. Together, as a team, we are committed to going above and beyond to provide opportunities that help our students grow and thrive on their educational journey.”

What is the most rewarding aspect of being a campus leader? 
“The most fulfilling part of being a campus leader is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with staff, students, and families. I truly enjoy collaborating with everyone to create the best possible learning environment for the students who are our future.”
