TOMBALL - Tomball ISD Superintendent of Schools was recently honored with the 2025Gwen Taylor Pinnacle Award, presented by the Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators (HAABSE) to recognize educators who exemplify excellence in education. 

This honor is a significant award within the Houston educational community, celebrating individuals who have made substantial contributions to student success and educational advancement. This year, the award was presented to Dr. Salazar-Zamora during HAABSE's Summer Conference in Galveston. 

ABOUT HAASBE
The HAABSE organization is dedicated to supporting and empowering Black educators and students in the Houston area. Their events, like the Pinnacle Awards and the Outstanding Teacher Awards, play a crucial role in recognizing and celebrating excellence within the educational community.

ABOUT TOMBALL ISD
Tomball ISD educates students to become responsible, productive citizens by providing innovative, individually rigorous, and personally valuable educational experiences. Founded in 1908, Tomball ISD now encompasses 83 square miles in northwest Harris County and southwest Montgomery County, and is located approximately 30 miles from downtown Houston. The district currently educates over 23,000 students across 25 campuses.
