Melissa Baudoin Named New Tomball Elementary Principal
TOMBALL – Tomball ISD is excited to announce Melissa Baudoin as the new Principal of Tomball Elementary. She will take over after Spring Break for Chad Schmidt, who will shift his focus to becoming the new Principal of West Elementary that opens this Fall.
“We are so excited to name Mrs. Baudoin as the next Tomball Elementary Principal,” said Dr. George Flores, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools. “Mrs. Baudoin has played an integral role in transforming the educational experience for students at Tomball Elementary over the last few years. With her dedication to TES and strong background in instructional leadership, we know that she is the right leader to carry on the success of Tomball Elementary for many years to come.”
Mrs. Baudoin brings over 15 years of experience in education and has served since 2020 as your Assistant Principal at Tomball Elementary. She is no stranger to Tomball ISD, having joined the District back in 2013 as a fifth grade math teacher at Timber Creek Elementary. After one year in that role, she was elevated to a Campus Math/Science Specialist at TCES where she served from 2014-2017 before transitioning into the same role at Northpointe Intermediate in 2017.
After two successful stints as a Campus Specialist where she was named a two-time A+ Teacher, Mrs. Baudoin accepted her first campus leadership role as an AP at TES in 2020.
Not only does Mrs. Baudoin bring administrative experience but extensive classroom experience as well. She began her teaching career in 2008 in Katy ISD. Mrs. Baudoin has continued to dedicate time to professional development, serving on the N2 Learning Administrative Leadership Cohort and was a part of the Tomball ISD Administrative Leadership Cohort from 2017-2019.
Mrs. Baudoin earned her degree in Education from Texas State University and her Masters of Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
