TOMBALL - Jennifer Foley, current Assistant Principal of Tomball High School, has been announced as the next Principal of Northpointe Intermediate, replacing Holly Searcy who recently announced her retirement from education.

“We are excited to welcome Jennifer Foley as the new Principal of Northpointe Intermediate,” said Dr. Mindy Munoz, TISD Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools. “Jennifer is a student-centered leader who values strong relationships and supports a culture where both staff and students can thrive. She brings a deep understanding of effective teaching and learning, along with a commitment to building a positive, connected school community. Jennifer’s collaborative approach and focus on people will help ensure Northpointe Intermediate continues to be a place where students feel supported and educators feel empowered.”

Mrs. Foley brings nearly 20 years of experience in education and has served students, staff, and families in a variety of leadership and instructional roles throughout her career.

She is no stranger to Tomball ISD. She began her time in the District as an ELA teacher at Creekside Forest Elementary and later served as a Teacher Leader at Creekside Park Junior High. After a brief stint as an Assistant Principal in a neighboring district, she returned to Tomball ISD and served as an Assistant Principal at both Willow Wood Junior High and Grand Lakes Junior High for four years. Since 2022, Mrs. Foley has served as an Assistant Principal at Tomball High School, bringing extensive campus leadership experience and a deep understanding of our District.

During her time in Tomball ISD, Mrs. Foley has gained valuable leadership experience serving as a representative on the Campus Improvement Team, District Improvement Planning Committee, and as a participant in the Administrative Leadership Training Program. She also currently serves as a lead administrator overseeing Summer School operations.

Early in her career, and prior to her time in Tomball ISD, Mrs. Foley began her educational journey in Auburn, New York as a middle school teacher before relocating to Texas, where she later taught fifth grade in Clear Creek ISD. During her time there, she was recognized as the 2012 Clear Creek ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year, Walter Hall Elementary Teacher of the Year, and recipient of the Clear Creek Education Foundation Superstar Award.

Mrs. Foley earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, her Master’s degree from Le Moyne College in New York, and her Principal Certification from Lamar University.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Foley has demonstrated a strong commitment to student achievement, relationship-building, and fostering positive school cultures where all students are supported and encouraged to thrive.

She brings a comprehensive understanding of intermediate education and school leadership. These strengths, combined with a passion for supporting students and staff, are why we are excited to see what the future holds at Northpointe Intermediate under her leadership.

What’s intriguing about leading Northpointe Intermediate?
Leading Northpointe Intermediate is an incredible opportunity because of the strong sense of community, the commitment to student growth, and the potential to build lasting relationships with students, staff, and families. Intermediate school is such an important stage in a child’s development, and I’m excited to help students navigate those years with confidence, support, and high expectations. What truly stands out about Northpointe is the passion of the educators and the pride the community has in the campus.

What can the community expect from you as a leader? What will the culture be like?
The community can expect me to lead with integrity, visibility, and a servant-hearted mindset. I believe strong schools are built through relationships, collaboration, and a shared commitment to doing what is best for students. I want Northpointe to be a place where students feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn, where teachers feel supported and empowered, and where families feel welcomed and connected.

The culture will be centered on high expectations, positivity, and teamwork. We will celebrate successes, invest in meaningful relationships, and create an environment where everyone is encouraged to grow and thrive. My goal is to foster a campus culture that is both student-focused and people-centered.
