TOMBALL - Tomball ISD is excited to announce Holly Searcy as the new Principal of Northpointe Intermediate. She will take over after Spring Break for Dr. Caitlin Cain, who will shift her focus to becoming the new Principal of West Intermediate that opens this Fall.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Holly Searcy to Tomball ISD as the new principal of Northpointe Intermediate,” said Dr. Mindy Munoz, TISD Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools. “Her impressive record of success, genuine dedication to students and staff, and proven ability to cultivate strong school communities make her an exceptional choice to lead NIS. We are particularly excited that she will continue to build upon the strong school-community partnerships that are so vital to Northpointe's success. We look forward to a bright future under her leadership.”

Ms. Searcy brings over 30 years of experience in education and 20 years of experience as a campus Principal to Tomball ISD. She most recently served in Athens ISD, but spent 11 years as Principal in Jacksonville ISD (2011-22). Her experience as a campus administrator spans from 2002 to 2025.

Ms. Searcy not only has served as a campus administrator but as an Instructional Facilitator and a classroom teacher at the elementary, intermediate, junior high levels since she began her professional career back in 1991.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from East Texas Baptist University and her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Ms. Searcy is a leader that focuses on strong communication, collaboration, and shares a passion for teaching and learning. She understands the importance of building and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, and leveraging talent and promoting efficiency.

What made you interested in being a campus leader in Tomball ISD?
“From the moment I connected with Tomball ISD, it was clear that students are at the heart of every decision, and the district's passion for education is inspiring. The small-town feel, combined with a commitment to excellence, makes Tomball ISD a special place, and I am thrilled to contribute to its success.”

What do you know about Northpointe Intermediate and what do you look forward to most about leading that campus?
“I have heard incredible things about the energy, dedication, and success of Northpointe, and it is evident that students are always at the heart of every decision. Northpointe has been led by a passionate leader, and I am honored to build upon the strong foundation already in place. My goal is to continue fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring that every student thrives. I look forward to working alongside the talented staff, supportive families, and outstanding students who make this campus so special.”

What is it about education that you love so much?
“Even after 30 years in education, I still look forward to coming to work every day—greeting students, supporting teachers, and pouring into the hearts of those I serve. It is this passion for education and commitment to student success that makes me especially excited to join Northpointe Intermediate as its new Principal.”

What can the NIS community expect from you as their next leader?
“The staff and community can expect a principal who is deeply passionate about her students, readily available, full of energy, and wholeheartedly dedicated to her school community.”
