TOMBALL - Grand Lakes Junior High U.S. History teacher Montana Hart was recognized for her dedication to student success being named the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Texas State Chapter American History Teacher Winner, representing Tomball ISD.

Hart has taught American History for four years and serves as the 8th Grade U.S. History team lead and mentor. Nominated for this award, Hart will now go on to compete at the National level.

Hart embodies the qualities that are celebrated through this award: a passion for history, innovative teaching methods, and a commitment to inspiring the next generation through the study of the American Revolution.

"Ms. Hart has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to student success since joining Tomball ISD,” said Alison Reed, TISD Coordinator of K-12 Social Studies and Library Services. “She consistently encourages students to reach their full potential, seeks out innovative lessons that spark curiosity and meaningful discussion, and exemplifies best practices in all aspects of education. Her passion and commitment inspire both students and colleagues alike, making her an invaluable part of the Social Studies department. We are truly grateful for the impact she has on our students and the entire TISD community."

Hart has also demonstrated leadership by serving on a district level by participating in curriculum writing and collaboration on professional development. She was also selected to participate in Tomball ISD’s Teacher Leadership Institute and was named a campus A+ Teacher this year.
