Dr. Jessica Perez Named Next Principal of Timber Creek Elementary
TOMBALL - Tomball ISD is excited to share that current Early Excellence Academy Principal Dr. Jessica Perez has accepted the opportunity to become the next Principal of Timber Creek Elementary, following the announcement of Ms. Tara Bailey becoming the new CPJHS Principal.
“We are excited to announce a familiar face in Tomball as our new Principal at Timber Creek Elementary School,” said Dr. George Flores, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools. “Dr. Perez has proven leadership skills in a variety of capacities and school levels that we are excited for her to bring to the amazing school community at Timber Creek. Dr. Perez has a multitude of unique skill sets and we know through her strong belief in collaboration; Timber Creek is in great hands.”
Dr. Perez is no stranger to Tomball ISD, having served the District in several administrative roles since 2016. She brings over 20 years of experience in education, having most recently served as the Principal of Tomball ISD’s award-winning Early Excellence Academy.
As the inaugural Principal of EEA, Dr. Perez was tasked with opening the District’s first-ever Pre-K Center. In this role, she successfully led the launch and development of our high-quality early childhood center from the ground up. Under her leadership, EEA quickly became a model for early learning, known for its hands-on experience that also demonstrates a commitment to fostering nurturing, engaging, and inclusive school environments where every learner had the opportunity to thrive.
In fact, Dr. Perez led the charge in EEA earning Great Expectations Model School distinction - becoming the first early childhood center in Texas to earn that honor.
Prior to becoming the Principal of Early Excellence Academy, Dr. Perez served two years as an Assistant Principal at Oakcrest Intermediate School and two years as Tomball ISD’s Director of Multilingual Programs. Throughout her career, she has also dedicated her time to being a Bilingual Content Specialist, Pre-K Specialist, and Coordinator of Bilingual Programs.
Dr. Perez began her educational career in Roma ISD as a 4th grade bilingual teacher. After relocating to the Houston area, she taught a variety of grade levels in bilingual education in Cy-Fair ISD.
Dr. Perez brings a comprehensive understanding of elementary education and school leadership. These strengths combined with a proven ability to build a positive school culture and support students’ academic and personal growth are why we are excited to see what the future holds at TCES under the direction of Dr. Perez.
