TOMBALL - Dr. Caitlin Cain, current Principal of Northpointe Intermediate, has been announced as the new Principal of West Intermediate, the fourth intermediate school and 25th overall campus in Tomball ISD, set to open in August 2025.

Dr. Cain has dedicated 14 years to education with the last five years coming in Tomball ISD and the last four serving as Principal of NIS.

“Dr. Cain is a respected leader known for her high integrity and ability to build a positive and supportive culture for both students and staff,” said Tomball ISD Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools Dr. Mindy Munoz. “We are excited to have her open West Intermediate and establish a strong foundation for years to come. Her leadership will benefit the entire Tomball community.”

Under her leadership, Northpointe Intermediate has experienced plenty of success including recognition as a Great Expectations and Professional Learning Community at Work Model School recipient.

Dr. Cain fostered a strong, inclusive culture on campus promoting collaboration, respect, and high expectations among students and staff. The supportive environment in which she led empowered students to excel academically and socially, driving overall success.

Prior to leading NIS as Principal, Dr. Cain served in a leadership role as the District’s Director of Secondary ELA and Advanced Academics. She joined Tomball ISD in 2020 from Magnolia ISD where she served in campus leadership roles, including Associate Principal and Assistant Principal.

Dr. Cain will continue as Principal at Northpointe Intermediate until Spring Break, where she will then focus her efforts full time on a successful opening of West Intermediate. The search for the next Northpointe Intermediate Principal is currently underway and a new campus leader will be announced soon.
