Claire Compton Named Next Principal of Early Excellence Academy
TOMBALL - Claire Compton joins Tomball ISD from Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD and will become the next Principal of Early Excellence Academy. She will replace Dr. Jessica Perez, who will become the next Principal of Timber Creek Elementary.
“We are excited to welcome a new face to the Tomball ISD Administration family,” said Dr. George Flores, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools. “Mrs. Claire Compton comes to us highly recommended with a variety of administrative experiences in multiple school districts. Her passion for early childhood learners and emphasis on the PLC process aligns with the district's philosophy of continuous improvement and servant leadership. We know the future is bright at EEA!”
Mrs. Compton brings over 15 years of experience in education to this role, and joins TISD from Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD where she has served as an elementary school Principal since 2022. During her time leading that campus, she was named the District’s Professional of the Year in 2022-23.
Prior to being named Principal, she served as an elementary Assistant Principal in both Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD and Midland ISD from 2014 to 2022. As a campus administrator, she has led a Title I, bilingual campus, implemented multi-tiered systems of support, facilitated PLCs, served as the campus testing coordinator, and managed school operations.
Her education career began back in 2010 as a elementary school classroom teacher where she served students in that role for four years before advancing into campus administration.
Mrs. Compton earned her Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and her Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Permian Basin.
With a strong background in elementary education, Mrs. Compton brings a deep understanding of the unique developmental, academic, and social needs of young learners. Over the years, she has demonstrated a commitment to fostering nurturing, engaging, and inclusive school environments. The hands-on experience as both a campus administrator and as a classroom teacher have shaped her student-centered approach to leadership.
