TOMBALL - Beth Taylor, current Assistant Principal of Lakewood Elementary, has accepted the promotional opportunity and has been named the next Principal of Lakewood Elementary. She will replace Deanna Porter, who will become the next Principal of Willow Creek Elementary.

“We are extremely excited to name Ms. Beth Taylor as the next Lakewood Elementary Principal,” said Dr. George Flores, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools. “Ms. Taylor came to us with previous administrative experience and instantly made a positive impact on the Lakewood school community. Her strong background in literacy and passion for collaborative practices immediately aligned with the mission and vision of Lakewood Elementary.  The future is in great hands with a familiar face in leadership with Ms. Taylor in the Principal seat.”

Ms. Taylor has dedicated over 25 years of service to education and has served Lakewood Elementary as the Assistant Principal since 2023. In addition to her AP duties, Ms. Taylor is an Assistant Principal mentor and a current N2 Assistant Principal Leadership Academy participant.

Prior to joining Tomball ISD, Ms. Taylor spent time as an Assistant Principal at Adam Elementary in Cy-Fair ISD from 2018 to 2023 and as an Instructional Specialist from 2013 to 2018.

Ms. Taylor began her career as a kindergarten teacher in Oklahoma. After moving to Texas, she served as an elementary teacher for over 20 years.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and her Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston.

As a campus leader, Ms. Taylor brings years of campus administrative experience at the elementary level and understands the importance of maintaining a positive school culture with a focus on staff collaboration and development. We are confident that under Ms. Taylor’s leadership, Lakewood Elementary will continue to thrive as a dedicated community built on educational excellence.
