Tragedy in Uvalde, Message from Dr. Z
Tragedy in Uvalde, Message from Dr. Z
Tomball ISD Community,
We are saddened by the devastating tragedy Robb Elementary School and Uvalde ISD experienced today. Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with the victims and their families as well as their entire school community as this tragedy affected so many in such a small community in our State.
As we prepare to wrap up the final days of the 2021-2022 school year here in Tomball ISD, I want to assure you that we will remain vigilant in ensuring that our District remains a safe and secure place for our students and staff to attend school and finish strong.
In an effort to keep safety at the forefront in these final days, we will continue our heightened state of awareness on all campuses and ensure safety measures are in place as we host our annual end-of-the-year campus events. In partnership with the Tomball Police Department, our campus SROs will continue to operate on high alert within our district and be highly visible over the next few days.
Our students, teachers, and staff's safety and security will always remain our top priority. We will continue to look out for such situations that may compromise their well-being as well as remain steadfast in our commitment to student and staff safety.
This unfortunate event that occurred today is a humbling reminder that it takes all of us to ensure our campuses remain a safe place to learn and grow. With that, I remind you to please stay vigilant and follow the procedure of ‘See Something, Say Something’. If you ever witness or suspect anything, contact the Tomball Police Department or alert campus or district administration.
Thank you for your support.
Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora
