Tomball ISD Voters Approve Two Propositions, Totaling $494.5M, in Bond 2021 Package

TOMBALL – Tomball ISD voters approve $494.5M across Propositions A and B of Bond 2021 based on unofficial election results. Results become official once canvassed.

“Thanks to our dedicated School Board, devoted Facility Study Steering Committee, committed staff and our Tomball community who did vote in support of Bond 2021 & our fast-growth district,” Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora, Superintendent of Schools said.

Proposition A was approved at a 57.21% passing rate (unofficial results until canvassed). Totaling $466,640,000, Prop A will address: New Schools and Facilities, Infrastructure, Renovations, Transportation, Technology, and Security Updates

  • Tomball Innovation Center (former BJ Services) - Elementary School 
  • Baker Street - Bus Barn Renovation
  • Early Excellence Academy Relocate to Keefer Rd.
  • Tomball HS/Junior High - Upgraded Renovation
  • Beckendorf Complex - Satellite Bus Facility
  • Bus Purchases
  • Technology Cybersecurity Upgrade
  • District Security Upgrades

Proposition B was approved at a 57.42% passing rate (unofficial results until canvassed). Totaling $27,820,000, Prop B will address: Technology for Staff and Students

  • Enhanced Infrastructure/Technology
  • Student Chromebook Refresh
  • Staff Device Refresh

Tomball ISD voters also weighed in on the final three Propositions (C, D, E) which were not approved. Prop C - Athletic Upgrades saw 47.65% in favor, Prop D - Natatorium saw 46.32% in favor and Prop E - Multipurpose Facilities saw 47.56% in favor.

“While we remained hopeful all five propositions in our Bond 2021 package would be approved, we are extremely grateful that voters saw the benefit in Propositions A & B that will immediately address student growth and provide innovative opportunities that will serve our community for many years.”

Again, results are unofficial until canvassed.
