EVERFI 2024

TOMBALL - For the second straight year, Tomball ISD’s dedication to providing an evidence-informed education that prepares students for success in the real world has led it to earn the annual EVERFI Empowered Seal.

Now in its fifth year, the EVERFI Empowered Seal is a designation awarded to public school districts that have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to comprehensive education strategies on topics such as financial literacy, health, and careers.

The EVERFI Empowered Seal recognizes Tomball ISD, which ranks in the Top 10% of school districts for its commitment to whole-child education.

"EVERFI remains a vital resource in Tomball ISD’s restorative approach to discipline, and we are proud to have earned the Empowered District Seal for the second consecutive year,” said Tomball ISD Director of Guidance and Counseling Steve Shiels. “This recognition underscores our commitment to educating the whole child. EVERFI’s modules, which cover essential topics like conflict resolution, substance abuse prevention, and mental wellness, empower our students with the skills and knowledge they need to make better decisions, with over 2,700 courses completed by TISD students last year alone."

In addition to being recognized nationally for their work, the Empowered Seal provides districts with the opportunity to apply for the Empowered Seal grant. Six Empowered Seal districts will be selected as winners, with each district’s preferred non-profit receiving $1,000.
