Tomball ISD Continues Its Run Among the Nation’s Best High Schools with all Three Ranking Among the Top 8% Nationally

TOMBALL –  All three Tomball ISD high schools continue to earn national recognition, once again securing spots among the Best High Schools in the U.S. in the 2025–2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings. Even more impressive, all three schools ranked among the Top 8% of ranked high schools nationwide. 

The rankings evaluated nearly 27,000 eligible public high schools across all 50 states and the District of Columbia, with nearly 18,000 schools receiving a national ranking — making Tomball ISD’s continued presence among the nation’s best a testament to the district’s consistent commitment to excellence.

Texas Ranking: 150
National Ranking: 1,165 (4.3%)

National Ranking: 2,035 (7.5%)

This recognition reflects the dedication of our teachers, staff, administrators, families, and most importantly, our students, whose hard work continues to put Tomball ISD on the national stage.”

The highest ranked U.S. public schools in the U.S. News & World Report's 2025-2026 Best High Schools rankings are those whose students demonstrated outstanding outcomes, surpassing expectations in math, reading and science state assessments, earned qualifying scores in an array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions.
