TOMBALL - Tomball Memorial High School Volleyball has proven excellence beyond the court, earning the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT. The team also earned the additional distinction of AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, representing the top 20% of GPAs nationally by division.

In order to be considered for the AVCA Team Academic Award, teams must maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale). The Wildcats were also just one of 26 Texas Girls High School programs to earn the distinction of AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll.

“I am incredibly proud of the academic success our girls have achieved,” said Sydney Lynch, TMHS Volleyball Head Coach. “Watching these athletes excel both on the court and in the classroom is a true testament to their discipline, time management, and commitment to excellence. Their ability to maintain strong grades while balancing the demands of a competitive season reflect the dedication we value. It means the world to me to see them grow not just as athletes, but as well-rounded individuals prepared for success beyond high school.”

In addition to this postseason honor, TMHS Volleyball wrapped up the 2024-2025 season with a 30-15 overall record and a 15-1 mark in District play, capturing a District Championship. 15 Wildcats earned Academic All-District honors.

Individually, members of the team earned:
