Tomball ISD High School Robotics Teams Compete at State Competition
TOMBALL – Tomball ISD showed well at the 2024 Texas FIRST Robotics State Competition as teams from Tomball High School, Tomball Memorial High School, and Tomball Star Academy all took part in the event held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
Tomball High School’s team T3, Tomball Memorial High School’s team Vector Team, and Tomball Star Academy’s team TSA All-Stars were three of 190 teams in the State of Texas, and three of 86 who competed at the State competition. This year marked the first time all three Tomball ISD teams participated in this event, and played in alliances together.
Tomball High School, T3 team was the highest finisher, placing 17th overall. TMHS Vector Team placed 42nd, and TSA All-Stars placed 69th.
Because of Tomball High School’s strong finish, its T3 team has advanced to the World Competition that will take place April 18-21 also at George R. Brown Convention Center. At Worlds, THS will be one of just 30 teams in Texas competing and one of 600 from across the world. This is the highest rank for THS at Worlds.
