TMHS Students Advance to State After Strong Showing at 6A Region II UIL Academic Competition

TOMBALL - Tomball Memorial High School students created a buzz at the 6A Region II UIL Academic Competition as multiple individuals and teams captured a top finish to advance to the UIL Academic State Meet.

The Academic and Speech State Meet will be held on the University of Texas-Austin campus Monday, May 13- Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

“I am so proud of our students and coaches,” said Dr. Jeff Bailey, Principal of Tomball Memorial High School. “To compete at the highest level against really strong teams across the region and achieve the success they did is outstanding. What is truly special about this group is knowing we had Prom on Saturday and yet our staff and students still elected to participate in the regional meet in Waco knowing they would possibly be late to the senior event. Our staff put a plan together to make sure all of our competitors could get back in time for Prom which shows just how dedicated our students and staff are at TMHS!”
