235 Tomball ISD Students Recognized as Scholastic Writing and Art Competition Winners
Scholastic Writing Awards

TOMBALL - 235 Tomball ISD students were recognized for their creativity in art and writing during the Regional Scholastic Writing and Art Competition, hosted by the Harris County Department of Education.

Students compose a piece of writing or create a piece of art that is then judged by a panel of professionals for quality and original ideas. Awards are given in three categories: Golden Key Winners (who proceed to the National level), Silver Key Winners and Honorable Mentions.

Tomball ISD showcased 604 writing entries. Of those, an impressive 45% of students participating in writing received awards at the Regional level.

15 students received Golden Keys and will move on to the National Competition, which is judged in late May/early June.
