Mentor Program

In an effort to develop capacity and support teachers as they join #TeamTomball, the District has been strategic and intentional in creating a more robust Mentor program.

Streamers filled the air on a late September afternoon as the Tomball ISD Mentor Program kicked off a new year! This year there are two separate tracks to the mentor program. 

Track one consists of employees who have less than two years of experience, are new to Tomball with less than three years of experience, or are currently approved to teach under DOI/Emergency Permit.

Track two consists of employees with two to three years of experience or are new to Tomball with more than two years of experience. 

Mentee teachers will receive targeted professional development by some of Tomball ISD’s best educators and will be supported on campus by hand selected mentors that will help guide their educational experience throughout the school year. There are more than 370 teachers involved in this program.
