Smart Snack Guidelines for Campus Admin
Starting in school year 2014-15, all foods sold at school during the school day need to meet these new national nutrition standards. The Smart Snacks in School regulation applies to foods sold a la carte, in the school store, cafeteria, and vending machines. This is nationwide for all public schools that participate in the National School Lunch Program.
You can use this online Smart Snack calculator to see if a food item meets the nutrition guidelines to be sold in school as a Smart Snack.

Purchasing restrictions on Smart Snack/a la carte items can be made using School Cafe. See instructions attached for demonstration.
