Tomball ISD now offers medical insurance to substitutes. You have 30 days from your hire date to accept or decline the medical plan and are required to complete the Enrollment Application below before you will be eligible to accept assignments.

Tomball ISD requires all substitutes to accept or decline the medical plan each plan year. The TRS ActiveCare Plan Highlights and premiums for the 2017-18 plan year are listed below. Please complete the Aetna Enrollment Application to enroll or the Medical Waiver 2017-18 to decline. Forms must be returned to the Benefits office by July 31, 2017. You may drop forms by the Administration building or scan and email to Benefits Department at firstname.lastname@example.org
403(b) Tax Sheltered Annuity
Substitutes may also participate in the 403(b) plan. You may elect to open a 403(b) at any time during the year and not just during your 30 day enrollment period. Please click below for additional information.
