Job Openings

ADMINISTRATION/TEACHER POSTINGS

Professional job openings (teachers, counselors, librarians, administrators) are posted on the district website throughout the calendar year as vacancies arise. Principals, department heads and other hiring personnel across the district will view applications, search for applicants with qualifications that fit their current vacancies, contact selected applicants directly for interviews, and make recommendations for employment. Once recommended for employment, applicants are notified by the Human Resources Department to schedule a final interview, complete required paperwork, and obtain an employee ID badge.

In order to make the interviewing/hiring process as streamlined as possible, the district asks applicants not to contact principals or hiring managers directly by telephone or just "stop by".

Online job postings are updated as vacancies become available. If a job is no longer listed, this is an indication it has been filled or closed and is no longer available. Be sure to view the job postings on a regular basis and consider signing up for job alerts. Representatives of the district also recruit at teacher job fairs in the area. For a list of current job fairs, click here to access the Job Fairs page.

PARAPROFESSIONAL POSTINGS

Paraprofessional job openings (instructional aides and other support staff) are posted on the district website throughout the calendar year as vacancies arise.  Classroom paraprofessionals must show evidence via an official transcript of a minimum of 48 college credit hours.  Principals, department heads, and other hiring personnel across the district will view applications, search for applicants with qualifications that fit their current vacancies, contact selected applicants directly for interviews, and make recommendations for employment.  Once recommended for employment, applicants are notified by the Human Resources Department to schedule a final interview and complete required paperwork.  New hires will receive instructions to be fingerprinted for a national background check and to apply and pay for a Paraprofessional Certificate issued by the Texas Education Agency's State Board for Educator Certification.

ANCILLARY POSTINGS

Ancillary job openings (food services, custodial services, transportation, maintenance, and other support staff) are posted on the district website throughout the calendar year as vacancies arise.  Department heads and other hiring personnel across the district will view applications, search for applicants with qualifications that fit their current vacancies, contact selected applicants directly for interviews, and make recommendations for employment.
