Early College High School Ceremonial Agreement

Tomball ISD Superintendent Huey Kinchen and Lone Star College–Tomball President Dr. Lee Ann Nutt signed a Ceremonial Agreement recognizing the establishment of Tomball Star Academy – an Early College High School. This joint initiative will enable students to earn a high school diploma, up to 60 college credit hours, and an Associate of Arts degree free of charge. Tomball Star Academy will also provide a rigorous, supportive learning environment that blends high school and the first two years of college. The new school is scheduled to open for the 2017-2018 school year. Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora, chief academic officer, Tomball ISD, and Dr. Quentin Wright, vice president of instruction, Lone Star College–Tomball, joined the signing ceremony.
